UU the VOTE Watch Party - Sunday, January 12th at 3 pm (follow up)
Let’s UU the Vote!
Who: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lafayette
When: Sunday, January 12th at 3 pm
Where: Church Building at 1119 Johnston St., Building 12
Join us for the official launch of the national "UU the Vote" campaign. The UUA is encouraging all UU's to get involved in voter registration, get-out-the-vote, and deep canvassing activities in the 2020 election, and UULaLa is answering the call. This is not candidate or party driven, but values-based organizing. We will be watching a live stream of the launch event beginning at 3 p.m. Please arrive about 15 minutes early so you can grab a cup of coffee and a snack and don't miss anything!

January 12th ‘UU the VOTE’ Watch Party
Four members of the congregation and Dallas (our babysitter) attended the Watch Party.
UU members from a few selected congregations reported on what they have been doing
and are planning regarding voter suppression, voter registration and other initiatives.
Several of our members have been vocal in expressing their support for or opposition regarding
past policies in our local communities and on the state and national levels. Scott gathered
information on what community issues are of interest to those present.
We may pursue initiatives concerning some of these issues and provide support individually
and/or as a congregation in the future. Stay tuned!
